Kiir congratulates Museveni after Uganda election win
President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan has congratulated President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda on his re-election, following presidential elections held earlier this week.
The congratulatory note was published on Saturday through the Office of the President’s official Facebook page. Addressing the President-Elect, Kiir wished Museveni success as he continues serving the people of Uganda.

“I would like to warmly congratulate you on your landslide re-election victory,” Kiir said in the message. He added that Ugandan voters had again entrusted Museveni with leadership by electing him for a seventh term in office.
