Adut Kiirs Second Visit Strengthens Support

Returning to Gieda Orphanage on Wednesday, Senior Presidential Envoy Adut Kiir Mayardit reaffirmed her dedication to vulnerable youngsters. A delegation led by Albino Kueth delivered the message, echoing what he called the envoys “continued solidarity” with children lacking parental support.

Aid Package: Food and Essential Bedding

The team off-loaded 200 bags of assorted foodstuff, 60 steel beds, 100 mattresses and 100 cotton sheets. Staff said the new supplies immediately replaced worn bedding and replenished a pantry that, according to caretakers, had been stretched by soaring market prices.

Children of Fallen Soldiers in Spotlight

Kueth reminded reporters that most residents are sons and daughters of soldiers killed during South Sudans conflicts, while others were left at the gate by families facing acute poverty. “Their sacrifice should not be forgotten,” he noted, urging wider society to emulate the gesture.

    Long-Term Vision: Education and Nutrition

Beyond immediate relief, Aduts office plans to channel scholarships, counselling and balanced diets. Kueth said officials are “working around the clock” with social workers to map individual learning needs, an approach he believes will transform donations from short-term charity into sustainable child development.

Regular Follow-Ups Planned by Envoy Office

He confirmed routine monitoring visits will track procurement, hygiene and psychological welfare. Previous engagements with IDP camps and rural orphanages have, he argued, created a feedback loop that shapes each subsequent mission, ensuring assistance answers real-time challenges rather than one-off photo opportunities.
