    Christmas Peace Message in Juba

Christmas morning in Juba found Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony standing before worshippers at St. James Bari Parish, blending civic duty with faith.

He opened his homily-like remarks with a simple charge: “Let peace remain our guiding light,” framing the holiday as a mirror for national aspirations.

    Call for Unity and Generosity

Adil reminded congregants that the strength of Central Equatoria grows from unity, urging families to practice love and sincerity beyond Christmas liturgies.

He appealed for generosity toward vulnerable neighbours, arguing that social healing is inseparable from economic recovery in the state’s post-conflict journey.

    Church Leaders Amplify the Appeal

Presiding priest Rev. Joseph Alhaj Lo-Abe echoed the plea, offering prayers for leaders and asking the Almighty to shield the nation from renewed unrest.

    Community Response and 2026 Outlook

Warm hymns filled the brick nave, and many worshippers viewed the governor’s attendance as tangible solidarity with grassroots faith communities.

As 2025 closes, Adil’s message aligns with Central Equatoria’s reconciliation agenda, encouraging citizens to enter 2026 with shared purpose and calm determination.
