    Breakthrough in Lokiliri Case

Deputy Governor Paulino Lukudu Obede told residents of Lokiliri Payam that security operatives have positively identified the five missing children after weeks of coordinated tracking.

He said the alleged abductors were arrested in the Greater Pibor Administrative Area and are awaiting trial under local jurisdiction, marking a significant step toward justice.

    Coordinated Government Action

Obede’s office confirmed that a multidisciplinary task force is preparing the children’s safe transfer back to Juba County, with psychosocial support primed for their arrival.

“The state remains steadfast in protecting every citizen,” the deputy governor noted, underscoring ongoing patrols along known abduction corridors.

    Community Voices and Development Hopes

Juba County Commissioner Emmanuel Tete Ezbon pledged stronger grassroots engagement, urging residents to report suspicious movement promptly and to back government projects.

Local chiefs welcomed the delegation, calling for priority on schools, clinics, clean water, and police posts to curb vulnerabilities that kidnappers exploit.

    Road Infrastructure and Security Orders

Deputy Mayor Juma Moses Michael acknowledged delays in opening feeder roads but affirmed that compensation will reach rightful landowners once verification concludes.

During a stop at Motala, Obede ordered security forces to halt unauthorized road clearances, stressing strict coordination with civil authorities to protect livelihoods.

    Next Steps for Reintegration

State officials, together with humanitarian partners, are assembling reunification kits and counseling teams to ease the children’s transition back into family life.

Obede closed the visit by promising sustained investment aimed at turning Central Equatoria into a zone of peace, opportunity, and resilience.
